I need help with a discussion for my social problems class. I understand it but I need help explaining it and I need help putting it into words. Here's the discussion: Blake and Chloe have been married for 3 years; they have a 1-year-old daughter. Both are successful engineers at different companies. When Chloe leaves work, she picks up her daughter from daycare. After that, she still has dinner to prepare, laundry to do, and the baby to care for. Since the baby was born Blake helps more around the house with the daily chores, but the majority still falls to Chloe. Explain how this example illustrates the gendered division of work as it relates to family and parenthood and creates the motherhood penalty and fatherhood premium.
