Assignment task: You've done a great job capturing underlying root causes and conditions fueling this conflict, especially at the individual/leadership and societal level. Jacklyn chose the same conflict and like you, focused solely on parties/issues within Sierra Leone's borders. The article I shared with her captures why it is so important to evaluate conditions, not just at the societal or the individual/leadership level, but also at the regional and international levels. A multi-level analysis is critical. Why? Because if you leave a condition at any one of those levels unaddressed, this can seriously undermine your ability to end the conflict and the violence.
