2. Analyze and identify if there have been any instances of prisoners who have experienced pain during a lethal injection and specify how this is known to you and what documentation exists to support the claim.
3. Define qualified personnel and identify the members who comprise an "execution team."
4. Analyze and justify whether having a physician involved in the process nullifies any questions of the risk of wanton and unnecessary infliction of pain, torture, or lingering death.
5. Determine if participation of physicians in the process violates their professional oath.
6. Analyze and justify whether physicians will take part in executions even after reading Dr. Guidry's advice to members of the ASA.
7. Analyze and justify whether the use of lethal injections should be considered a "cruel and unusual" punishment.
8. Analyze and determine whether turning the execution chamber into a hospital-like setting will cause patients to relate the OR with a death chamber, relate anesthetic drugs with death drugs, or have in their subconscious the specter of the anesthesiologist as an executioner.
