Topic: Russian Media
Main point 1: Identify and discuss your country?s national media model and/or media organizations. Draw on media sources you listed in your topic assignment and information you gathered about the nation?s media model. Cite your information.
Main point 2: Discuss the media sources and/or technology most commonly used to communicate within this nation. Tell us if they are high tech nation or a developing nation with little technological resources. Consider the digital divide we talked about in class. Cite your information.
Main point 3: Provide your analysis on how the influences of globalization changed the landscape of communication in this country over the last 20 years. Is your nation undergoing extreme changes with social media, terrorism, immigration, war, natural disasters, disease, education, capital, to name a few. If so, explain and cite your sources.
Provide evidence for the claims you make. Draw on concepts discussed in your readings and current/past news. Remember, globalization does not affect all nations equally. Your assessment will depend on how well you investigate your topic. You may want to explore how your nation fits into the international community or not. Visit the United Nations or other sources.
C. Conclusion: Restate your thesis. Review your main points. Add a few sentences about what you've learned. In other words, demonstrate your understanding of the course material and your ability to synthesize the material you collected about your topic. Conclude the paper.

As you collect data about the type of media system or model of of Russia, I want you to consider the big picture. This term paper is for International communication course. International Communication is expressed through pop culture (music, products, film, clothing, etc), war, terrorism, GENOCIDE, DIASPORA, REFUGEES, diseases, natural disasters, world banks, or coups. A nation may influence the world in other ways, sometimes it is not what they are saying but what is said about them. When you look at their systems of media, explore other forms of expression that communicate to the world.
