Public Speaking Outline

I HAVE ATTACHED AN EXAMPLE BELOW. MY HOBBIES I USED FOR THE CLASS ARE COOKING,TRAVEL,AND SHOPPING.

I would like you to practice the process of organizing your information and creating a preparation outline. So that you don't have to worry about doing research, you will be working with information that you already know (and have possibly already shared with us in your Introductory Speech): your hobbies.

Pick three hobbies or interests to serve as your main points. Consider the details that you would like to share about each of those hobbies or interests.

Construct a rough outline of an informative speech about those interests using the sample provided on page 106 in the book. Get the "skeleton" of your outline on the paper, then work to arrange the "bones" in an effective manner and add the "meat" (greater detail). Again, refer to the examples on pages 106-108 in the book.

The preparation outline includes all of the detail that would go into your delivered speech. It is almost like a script for your speech, even though you would NOT read from it if you were to deliver this speech. You would instead go on to create a delivery outline from which to speak.
