Coral reefs are highly successful in large part because of the symbiotic relationships (p. 196) among organisms such as between the coral animal and its internal zooxanthellae. Based on our text readings and videos to date (including the first one on the seafloor) can we develop a list of other symbiotic pairs or groups in the coral reef ecosystem and also in other ecosystems? I would like everyone to provide specific examples and comment constructively on the examples others provide. I would like to develop a cummulative list of 15 or more symbiotic relationships. Also, are humans in symbiotic relationships with other organisms?
