How your character relates to family and school

Problem:

Your critical biography consists of a) telling the story of a young person (ages 12-30 years) and also b) reflecting critically upon this story through the use of the readings from across this course (at least one from each module). This process includes placing the young person in historical and cultural contexts. Your character may be from any epoch of history, the present, or the future. Placed in a setting and specific cultural context, the young person in your assignment should encounter and negotiate the challenges and opportunities of a particular setting, place,  and cultural context. Think about social class, digital media, school, families, social policies, and other social influences that affect this young person. The course will help you define how your character relates to family, school, the digital age, communities, historical time, etc. In addition, your own experiences can be most useful.
