Problem
The materials assigned in Week 9 provide numerous examples of alternative social and economic policies and practices that could address the social inequalities we've discussed this quarter. First, explain how each of the policies and or practices identified in the assigned materials could address a particular kind of inequality (i.e. class-based inequalities, racial inequalities, and/or gender inequalities). Second, provide a critical assessment of how well you think each of these policies/practices could address social inequality. Responses must be reflect engagement with and cite ideas and evidence discussed in all of the assigned materials (i.e. lectures, Noack's article, and the videos, "A Better Way to Tax the Rich," "Sick Around the World," and "Can We Do It Ourselves").
