Purpose of Homework:
As an Early Childhood provider, it's helpful to identify and express your own Professional Philosophy Statement. This statement is a summary of your professional beliefs and values about early childhood education.
Instructions:
Content: This homework is Phase One of your Course Project:
In this 1st phase of the project, you will brainstorm the many aspects of your beliefs about teaching and learning that you might include in a Professional Philosophy Statement.
Your Professional Philosophy Statement MUST address the following:
1. Your personal values and beliefs as they relate to teaching and learning.
2. How you believe young children learn and how this has an impact on your role when providing a conducive learning environment
3. What you believe are other important aspects of your role in working with young children and their families
Format: For this Phase One, you are just thinking this through, so provide a bulleted pointed list, a chart, or pictograph of ideas, strategies, thoughts and comments that answer the following:
1. Your personal values and beliefs as they relate to teaching and learning.
2. How you believe young children learn and how this has an impact on your role when providing a conducive learning environment?
3. What you believe are other important aspects of your role in working with young children and their families
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
1. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
