Return one last time to "The Upturned Face." In this assignment, use the DAD technique to write about how the author uses description, action, and dialogue to tell the story. Remember that a good description makes use of the five senses: sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. Cite descriptions of a person, a place, and a thing that occur in the story and tell why they are important. Action is the series of events that form the plot of a story. Cite two events from the story and tell why they are important. Dialogue between characters provides details and information necessary for the plot to proceed. Cite two instances of dialogue between characters and describe why they are important to the story.
