Question: Explain how ongoing employee development can be discussed during performance reviews to include a two-way dialogue that consider employee future goals and plans?

Ongoing development can be used as part of the appraisal process. Employees can develop individual development plans that include, how they can improve or change their weaknesses, and their future plans such as education, positions, locations etc.  In order for this to be successful, the employee needs to have a clear understanding of where their career could lead, they should know what skills and competencies they need to develop and how the organization values their experience, skills, and contributions(Lloyd, 2017).  The goal should be to engage, develop and ultimately retain employees.
