The two articles this week titled; A leadership competency model: Guiding the NAON process and Leadership Competencies from the SHRM website, introduce the concept of competency models and provides an example of a leadership competency model. Study the practice of competency modeling and existing leadership competency models. Using the Ashford University Library, search for a minimum of three scholarly sources on competency models and develop a competency model for a particular leadership position, such as college president, mayor, college athletic coach, or chief executive officer.
