How many moved on to permanent jobs with the company my

When I started my job as HR Recruiter back in September, I spent a lot of time just learning the job prior to getting into the recruiting part. I would ask a lot of questions like what were the numbers last year with the hiring.

I would ask how many were hired? How many moved on to permanent jobs with the company? My boss used Microsoft Excel to show me this information.

They would compile forecasts and data of information and store it in on their hard drive. So when we got into this year's seasonal hiring, one of the warehouse managers compiled a forecast of this year's hiring, and it was easier to keep track where we were at with the hiring. The calculations would update automatically.

We also used spreadsheets to keep track of the seasonal hiring, we would compile information on their shift, orientation date, start date and manager.

This helped us keep track of when to expect new hires for their orientation, and helped also to keep track of the department they would work in and the manager assigned to them.

I would say Excel is a good tool to store information and a good way to stay organized during a huge project. Numerical data is important to a company as numbers can tell more than words when it deals with money and budgets.
