Assignments will be a continuation of a writing process. You will construct your essay by answering the following prompt, which will be given at the beginning of each homework assignment. This is a step-by-step process. As long as you read the textbook and all the lecture notes and complete the activities, you will not encounter much difficulty.

Prompt: Today there is an increasing amount of students enrolling in online schools and online courses than ever before. Write a cause-and-effect essay explaining the effects that online education has on students.

1. Continuing from Modules 5 and 6 Homework Assignments, take out your outline and introductory paragraph and reread them.

2.Using your outline, write the three body paragraphs of your cause-and-effect essay. Include as much support as possible. Make sure that you properly transition between sentences and paragraphs.

3. You will turn in the body paragraphs (in paragraph form, not outline form) along with the introduction. Make sure that it is in one document (one attachment).

You have successfully written the body of your cause-and-effect essay. You are now ready to write the concluding paragraph of your essay/

Directions: Please read "Wait Divisions" by Tom Bodett on page 352 of your textbook. When you have finished reading the article, answer the following questions with at least 250 words per question.

1. The thesis of Bedett's essay is not presented directly. See if you can state it in your own words.

2. In paragraph 2, Bodett introduces several possible effects of waiting, then dismisses them with a "probably not." Is it a sign of careless writing that Bodett mentions irrelevant topics and then dismisses them? Or does he intend a particular effect by introducing unnecessary topics? If he does intend an effect, how would you describe it?

3. Bodett refers to the first two waits as cousins. How does he differentiate between them?

4. How does Bodett support his claim that the Forced Wait "requires a bit of discipline"?

5. In what ways does the first sentence in paragraph 13 serve as a summary of Bodett's main points?
