Asignment: School Psychologist and Sports Psychologist
School psychologists work with children in elementary and secondary schools. Sports psychologists work with issues that are specific to the psychological well-being of an athlete. How do the goals and focus of each differ from that of a clinical psychologist? What are the ethical guidelines that must be considered for each? How are these shaped by the differences in psychological subject (student versus athlete), milieu, environment, and expectations? Be certain to give as many specifics as possible to both support your conclusions and provide material for your peers' response posts.
In response to two or more of your peers' initial posts, explore your interests or aversions to these subdisciplines through the particulars of the initial posts. In other words, if the differences between school and sports expectations pertains to academic achievement versus competitive achievement, then which of these would you find more enjoyable to promote? Discuss your preferences to three or more different particulars, and try to select different particulars for each response. By doing so, you may discover new things about what interests you in a career! Your initial post should be at least 250 words in length. Respond to two or more peers by the end of the week.
