Part I
In this discussion, we will explore the relationship between form, content, and subject matter. As we discovered last week, two sculptures of a kiss can have quite different meanings.
Take a look at the sculptures by Giacometti and Moore in your text. Both pieces are good examples of the relationship between form, content, and subject matter. How do you feel the form of each sculpture expresses the content? What specific characteristics give us clues and communicate meaning?
Select a third work of art from the text and discuss how the form and content relate. Identify at least five visual elements and/or principles of design in your analysis of the third piece.
Part II
How do different parts of the brain influence our behavior? How do central nervous system depressants, such as alcohol, affect our behavior?
Part III
Psychologists recognize that, in most cases, nature (genes) and nurture (environment) jointly affect human behavior and development. Please choose an aspect of child development and discuss the relative contributions of nature and nurture, supported by specific findings and theories you found in the assigned readings.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
