Discussion Post: Genograph
When you have completed the genogram, reflect on your childhood and family experience by addressing the following questions. Record your responses in the spaces provided.
o What role or roles did each family member assume in your immediate family (e.g., family hero, scapegoat, peacemaker, rescuer, parental child?) At the present time, what role or roles do you tend to play in the family or family-like relationships?
o How was affection expressed by each member of your immediate family? At the present time, how do you tend to express affection?
o How did family members seek help and support in your family? From whom? Today, when you need help and support, how do you seek it? From whom?
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
