To successfully fulfill their roles, fire departments must organize the delivery of their services within the broader governmental structure. Write a 2-3 page paper (excluding cover page) that explains the various ways fire departments can be organized.
Your paper should include an overview of the following:
The most common service delivery models for providing fire and emergency services
The two common functional divisions in the context of the fire service's overarching goals.
Your paper should also:
Explain how these approaches to organizing fire services are both similar to, and different from, approaches to organizing for-profit businesses.
Explain whether the differences between the fire service and common for-profit organizational models are a result of the special nature of emergency services, fire service traditions, or both.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
