Discussion Post: Leadership
Develop critical thinking, emotional intelligence and reasoning skills to observe leadership practices and commitment behaviors in the work environment.
Discuss how the concepts in the modules (emotional intelligence, leadership values, etc.) can be applied in leadership. You should extend your discussion beyond simple agreement with the concept. For example: discuss the importance of being "nimble" in all aspects of a firm's operation; that is, to be in a position to be maximally flexible, adaptable, and speedy in response to change.
1) How might a leader's values increase or decrease their effectiveness as they approach their role?
2) How might a leader's emotional intelligence increase or decrease their effectiveness in a leadership role?
