As one of the newer leaders in the organization, you feel strongly that a formal leadership training program would be beneficial. You decide to present your idea to the Vice President of Human resources. You believe that a Leadership Style Assessment should be included as part of the training program and that each person participating in the program should complete a formal Personal Development Plan as part of the process, using information they received from the Assessment.

Instructions

Part A: In a Executive Summary for the Vice President of Human Resources, explaining:

a) How a formal leadership training program would benefit Healthwise Healthcare.

b) The main topics the leadership program should cover.

c) Your recommendation for which Leadership Style Assessment should be included in the training program and what leadership styles this Assessment will show. Include the definitions of each.

d) An explanation of the Personal Development Plan deliverable that each leader should complete.

e) Any suggested follow-up.

Part B: To demonstrate as an example to the VP of HR what a deliverable would look like for a leader, take the Leadership Style Assessment that you have recommended yourself, and complete the following:

a) In a summary of your resulting Leadership Style. What are your strengths and weaknesses based on your Leadership Style?

b) Then your own Personal Development Plan based on the results of the Assessment, as well as any other areas in which you would like to develop as a leader.
