History
Past and present history of cardiovascular problems of patient & family. History of chest pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, abnormal skin colour, dizziness, vertigo or syncope, altered level of consciousness. Assess the risk factors - age, sex, hypertension, diabetes, smoking, hyperlipidema, family history of heart disease, hypertension or diabetes, stressful occupation, obesity, sedentary lifestyle, lack of exercise and gout.
