A study titled "Limits to Growth" was published in the 1970s. Its premise was that the world population and use of finite resources will eventually, sooner rather than later, limit growth. Simply stated, there would be problems in the world due to an ever growing population and industrialization that would deplete natural resources and increase pollution to harmful levels.
