d) Can one vary the value of the divergence speed without affecting the other one? Explain briefly.

e) What are the differences and similarities, if any, between wing span wise bending and chord wise bending?

Question 2 - Given a wing in level flight with a trapezoidal plan form as shown in the Fig. Mass, material properties and moments of inertia are all functions of y - the span-wise coordinate. Additionally, material properties and lift are both nonlinear functions of the deflections. Do not include chordwise or in plane bending in your answers. Write the differential equations for the static conditions for the twist θ(y) and the bending deflection w(y).
