Find the optimal locations of the public charging stations


Assignment Task: The aim of project is to find the optimal locations of the public charging stations in Birmingham New Street Area, United Kingdom. Want that to be done by hybrid algorithm which includes genetic and K-means clustering algorithms in order to search the best location of public charging stations. First, an improved k-means clustering which considered the capacity of charging stations should be used to minimize distance toward charging stations; then genetic algorithm should be applied to increase space of research and find optimal places of charging stations Algorithm searches the optimal location of charging stations with the objective of minimizing both the investment and transportation cost. The test results should show that our model and the method proposed are feasible to find the minimum cost and optimal place for charging stations.

The structure of the report should be as follows:

Methodology (Optimisation Problem Modelling, Constraints, Proposed Algorithm, Genetic K-means algorithm)

Implementation and Results (Use figures or tables if appropriate)

Analysis and Evaluation of Results

Appendices (MATLAB software needs to be used to find the results so include the MATLAB code at the appendices section and also the parameters (data) used should be in this section as well)

Also, the Parameters (data) should be collected according to the Birmingham, UK area.

Report to be 13 pages as it does not include all the sections of the report, and want the report to be carefully referenced (Harvard Referencing).
