INTRODUCTION TO CREATIVE THINKING Assessment: Essay
TOPIC: WHAT IS CREATIVE THINKING, AND HOW AM I A CREATIVE THINKER?
APPROACH: Firstly you should survey current views of creative thinking and creative thinking techniques, presenting a summary of those that you believe are useful, accurately acknowledging your sources.
Secondly, you should give a personal assessment of your ability to think creatively, using past experience, current examples or results of quizzes you have taken in class or elsewhere, to support your self-analysis.
ADVICE: Begin work on your essay early and use the class weekly PPTs (source material and videos) and the essay scaffold to help you.
As an opproximate guide, you will need to write around 64 paragraphs at 150.100 words per paragraph.
Topic: 'What Is creative thinking? To what extent do I consider myself to he a creative thinker?'
- You will use at least three references in defining creative thinking
- and provide examples from your personal experience to support your opinion of your own creativity.
Essay Structure - A typical essay could Include:
- a heading or title
- an introductory paragraph outlining the main ideas in the essay
- topic sentences at the beginning of each paragraph to introduce the main points for that paragraph
- a clear, well organised sequence of ideas and descriptions
- clear and correct source references
- a suitable concluding paragraph summing up main points
