Please give three recommendations (future state) as to how this company could improve their design approach using M&VE. Please conclude this section with a defense of maintained balance between cost & quality.

Each group member should choose the tool that best serves his or her own learning & development. (One for each group member, please.) Please feel free to hand sketch the maps/charts.

5. Process Strategy (Ch 7): Using the Theory of Constraints:

a. IDENTIFY from Section 4: As a group, please tell the reader what you identified as a key constraint on ONE (choose from any of the above process analysis tools). Please show the constraint visually (e.g. circle on the tool) and briefly describe the constraint in this section.

b. PLAN TO OVERCOME: Please explain the plan you developed to overcome the constraint.

c. FOCUS: Please explain how you will focus resources.

d. EXPECTED OUTCOME(S): Please explain what you expect will be the outcome (effects) of the reduction of the constraint. Please show this visually on a revised tool(i.e. revised process analysis tool) showing your expected future state.

6. Layout Strategies (Ch 9):

a. CURRENT STATE: Please provide a sketch of the current layout. (Hand drawings acceptable.)

b. FUTURE STATE: Please re-design the layout. (Please feel free to copy section 6a. and add hand drawn changes to the drawing.)

c. DEFENSE: Please explain how your re-design will improve efficiency and/or and the quality of the produce/service.

10. Presentation: As a group, please prepare a presentation from your research and analysis of this company. Please plan to present key data to the class, taking into account time limitations (15 minutes per group). Please consider creativity for full points (e.g. visual aids and/or product presentations, samples, tastings, etc.) and to enhance engagement during the presentation.

11. Mechanics:

a. APA format is not followed or if not professional (stapled/fastened, organized with proper headings, etc.)

b. On the TOC (table of contents), please note which group members completed which sections as is applicable.
