  1. Define the three types of questions, and give three examples of each type of question.

  2. Determine the relationship between questioning, answering questions, and the vitality of the field of study in which the questioning is taking place.

  3. Describe the way that you view your intellectual journey and the education that you are pursuing. Some questions that you can use to motivate your writing are: What are your goals? Why are you going to school? What has changed from the time you were younger to now about how you view education? What is the point of going to school? Feel free to come up with your own questions and responses to those questions. Your explanations should have reasons that support them and make use of the concepts in the textbook.

  4. Evaluate the various elements of thought and relate these elements of thought to a personal experience in which you had to evaluate a situation using those elements of thought.

  5. Explain the pillars of Socratic questioning, and then elaborate on the five ways that one can generate deeper questions.
