1: Explain the importance of usability when designing a website and develop a set of recommendations for website usability.

2:Research best practices for integrating graphics and multimedia into a site design. Share your top three recommendations with the class in your own words, and explain why you selected these items or how you plan to apply these best practices in your own designs.

3Usability in website design is very important ,a unusable or confusing website will not keep your visitors attention. It's important to make sure the website is readable and easy to navigate, for example if you build a website with its main purpose is to sell products then you will be losing business.

Your visitors should easily be able to contact you without confusion, and they should know exactly where to go for your contact information. In the Internet world usability is a necessary for success to occur, because if it's difficult to use then your visitors will leave. The first law of e-commerce is that if users cannot find the product, they cannot buy it either.

4:What are the main threat categorizations? How do they differ? What are some current viruses and worms? How do these threats function and spread?

5:Phishing is identity theft and a severe threat. According to technologyexecutives.com, a threat like this usually transpires via email. According to Smedinghoff (2015), firewalls do not protect much in regards to Phishing attacks. He explains how a companies best defense other than the a firewall is having a quick response time plan and reporting incidents to the FTC. Education of any sort is useful as well, especially user's who are not as computer savvy. What are your thoughts?

6:Firewalls and proxy servers play a role of limiting access to network connections that could compromise the security of the network. Firewalls can be a physical piece of hardware that is directly tied in to the network or it can be software running on a computer, like in Windows.

The firewall is setup with rules based on what the network administrator has for needs. When traffic is coming in to the network the firewall will check that data and compare it to the setup rules. Depending on how that data compares it can either be rejecting or accepted. There are inbound and outbound rules so that even if data is infected on the network already it will not be able to get out and affect other computers. A proxy server is an extra layer of threat detection. It would be in between the network machines and firewall, so that if something was to slip through the firewall then the proxy server would reject it.
