Assignment
Research project into a presentation on the Islamic cultural. Your presentation can be constructed using one of the following formats: a video presentation, PowerPoint, or Prezi (or a format not listed, as long as it is approved by your instructor). A minimum of 20 slides are required for this assignment. A script/notes must be included in your presentation. Be creative. Just make sure that you include the following sections:
1. Background Information
2. Media and Cultural Communication Challenges
3. Cultural Identity and Value Orientations
4. Verbal Communication Characteristics
5. Nonverbal Communication Characteristics
6. Conflict Styles and Management
7. Conclusion
In the conclusion of your presentation, include a reflection on what you learned from this culture and explain why you think your intercultural communication research is an important part of minimizing the negative effects of culture shock associated with the culture you studied.
