Developing Yourself as an Effective Human Resources or Learning and Development Practitioner
Learning Outcomes:
Be able to reflect on own practice and development needs and maintain a plan for personal development.
Assignment Summary:
- Undertake a self-assessment of capabilities as an HR or L&D practitioner against the CIPD Associate Membership requirements to identify development needs.
- Evaluate at least 2 options to meet the development needs identified
- Produce a plan to meet personal development objectives. The plan should be for a minimum of 6 months
- Create a reflective statement in which you explain the concept of CPD and its importance to you, reflect on performance against the plan, identify learning points for the future and revise the plan, this should include reviewing what you have learnt from each unit against the plan and adjusting development needs accordingly.

- 3.1: Explain the concept and importance of CPD
- 3.2: Undertake a self-assessment of capabilities as an HR or L&D practitioner and identify development needs.
- 3.3: Evaluate options to meet identified development needs.
- 3.4: Produce a plan to meet personal development objectives.
- 3.5: Reflect on performance against the plan, identify learning points for the future and revise the plan accordingly.
