Field trips connect students to the real world. When carefully planned, field trips are beneficial and offer students a different cultural experience outside of the classroom. Field trips allow teachers to teach a lesson that engages each and every student in the learning.
Create a 10 to 12 slides digital presentation for a proposed field trip you will present to your mentor teacher for feedback in your clinical field experience in Topic 6. The purpose of the field trip is to allow students to experience the real-world environment of science and social studies and share this experience with their parents.
Include the following in your presentation:
i. Explain the location, curricular focus of the field trip, and the classroom connection to support the learning.
ii. State the science and social studies standards and objectives for the field trip.
iii. Explain a learning activity to prepare students for field trip that would support science, social studies, and cross-content learning for young children.
iv. Describe an activity that students will complete with their parents upon returning from the field trip. The activity must include technological resources that promotes the academic growth and development of the students .
v. Any other necessary items or requirements to ensure the field trip is organized, prepared, and safe.
vi. Include a title slide, reference slide, and presenter notes.
The digital presentation should include graphics that are relevant to the content, visually appealing, and use space appropriately.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
iii) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
