Problem
Objective:
To create a plan to improve an infant environment and to evaluate your plan.
Scenario:
You are a new teacher in an infant classroom. There will be four infants in your room, ranging in age from 6 weeks to 9 months. You want to set up your room to allow for maximizing learning. You start by evaluating all the materials left from the previous teacher. You find mirrors, chewing toys, board books, and soft blocks.
Create a plan to improve your classroom. Your plan should include at least four materials you would add to the classroom and which infants each material would best suit (palmar grasp, etc.).
Write your self-evaluation after you have completed your plan.
• For each element of your plan:
o Explain how this element addresses the issues in the scenario.
o Give evidence from the chapter supporting this element (with citations).
• Describe and justify how your plan would improve teaching and learning in the scenario.
The response should include a reference list. Using double-space, Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
