Problem: Maryanne loved her first ward in the graduate nurse program. She fitted in well with other members of the team. She also felt knowledgeable and was very satisfied with her growing competence in providing person-centered care. Her second rotation was completely different. Staff was not friendly, and she sometimes felt belitted in front of the patients. The clinical nurse educator noticed she had started to lose confidence and was often teary.
