Examine the web sites of three international corporations


Problem

Many large international companies tailor sections of their websites to target different world markets selling their products. For example, McDonald's includes customized pages for each of the 50-plus countries where its restaurants exist. Assume that you work for a company that wants to expand its website for international markets. Your task is to investigate and report your findings on the differences and similarities between the regional sections of other companies' sites. To research your report, examine the web sites of at least three international corporations (so three companies, and then look at their US website as compared to one of their international websites, totaling six websites total). You might visit, for example, McDonald's American and European sites, or Sony's Asian and Eastern European sites (but you may not use those). Note the translations of the company's slogan, the colors and graphics on the sites, the presentation of products, etc.
