Evaluate how the concepts relate to your selected brands


Problem

Select an industry and two competing brands within that industry that you would like to focus on and compare. You will focus on that specific industry/selected brands and how they relate to the concepts we discussed in class.

You will choose two lessons from this semester and discuss how each applies to your chosen industry and brands.

In some lessons, there will be more to discuss than others. Your job is to discuss what was covered and write how it relates to your chosen brands.

I would like you to evaluate how the concepts relate to your selected brands, and type a summary of how and why it is important. If you have illustrations from websites or advertisements to illustrate specific principles concepts or theories, these could be included.

The goal is to understand how competitors within the same industry, uniquely position themselves utilizing different mobile marketing strategies.

For the lesson I am choosing to discuss how each competitor is utilizing traditional mobile advertising and implementing mobile-optimized websites.

This could entail a comparison of advertisements used by each company, then a discussion on the differences between their mobile sites. You can also use one of the tools provided to gauge the effectiveness of each site's mobile site optimization.

Based on your comparisons, you will select one of the brand's chosen and provide one recommendation on how they could improve their business utilizing mobile marketing. This could be an improvement on one of the elements you previously discussed, or you may recommend a new mobile channel for the selected brand. Be sure to justify your recommendation.

Paper (or Presentation):

Overall, I am looking for your integration of class concepts to your industry, and your ability to clearly and effectively communicate your ideas. There is no specific format to follow, a proper page limit would be three pages.

The focus should be to educate the reader on how certain brands within an industry are uniquely branded given their mobile strategies, or could use the mobile marketing concepts we discussed.
