Introduction
At this point, you have completed the first of three assignments, Individuals As Leaders. Now, you will address the second assignment in the sequence: Team Leadership. This is the second of the three related assignment.
Instructions
Leadership Theory
This assignment focuses on the assigned readings and discussions of Units 4, 5, and 6. The first half of the assignment addresses the primary areas of:
• Communication, across cultures and multiple forms; Leadership is a conversation.
• LMX and followers.
• Influence and networking; how leaders create networks.
• Virtual and multicultural environments; tribal leadership.
• Emotional intelligence; leadership EQ competencies.
• Team leadership and self-managed teams.
In this first portion of the assignment, describe the primary elements of leadership theory, including supporting evidence.
Team Leadership: Application of Leadership Theory
The second half of this assignment is the application of leadership theory to your selected business leader. Which elements of theory apply or do not apply? How well can you support your conclusions based on your research? As a minimum:
1. Describe your selected leader's organization and its leadership needs.
2. Evaluate demonstrated leadership competencies and effectiveness of a selected leader, including leader's ability to apply data analysis.
3. Describe theory-supported success factors exhibited by your selected leader.
The headings in your paper should at a minimum address:
• Introduction.
• Leadership Theory. (Use level 2 headings to guide the reader.)
• Team Leadership: Application of Leadership Theory. (Use level 2 headings to guide the reader.)
Conclusion.
Option: Consider using embedded video links in your assignment document to assist in supporting your arguments in theory and application to your selected leader.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
o The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
o The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
o Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
