Estimate the mass percent of iron in the ore

Iron (II), ions react with the permanganate ions, MnO41- (aq) in an acidic solution to form the  Fe3+ (aq) ions. A 6.893 gram sample of iron ore was crushed and treated with concentrated hydrochloric acid, which oxidized all the elemental iron (Fe0) to Fe2+. Next the acid solution which is having all theFe2+ ions was titrated with 0.100 M KMnO4 solution. The end point was reached when 13.889 mL of the potassium permanganate solution was used.

1. Write down the oxidation half reaction

2. Write down the reduction half reaction

3. Write down the final balanced redox reaction

4. Find out the oxidizing agent, the reducing agent, what is oxidized, and what is reduced

5. Determine the moles of iron in the original ore sample
