Energy balance property tables phase changes consider water

Energy balance, property tables, phase changes

Consider water in a pot on an alien planet. You will the pot with 1.002 L (.001002 m3) of water initially at 20°C and 75 kPa (their atmospheric pressure is different than ours).

A. How much mass is in the pot? [kg]

B. Heat is added to the pot to bring it to a boil. What temperature does the boiling occur? [°C]

C. How much heat input is required to bring the water from its initial state up to the point where it just starts boiling? [kJ]

D. Compare this energy to the amount it takes to power a 100 W light bulb for 1 hours. i.e. solve for the light bulb energy. [kJ]

E. You want to convert 50% of the liquid to the vapor phase. Continuing at constant pressure how much more heat must be added to complete this process? [kJ] (i.e. start at ending state of part C.)
