Assignment:

You are invited to pitch to run a music event for a consortium made up from Singapore's nightclubs and tourist board to try to promote Singapore as a fun destination with a vibrant night-life. The target audience are international travellers (business and leisure)
The aim is to rebalance the reputation of Singapore not just as a great city to do business in but as a great city to party in. This follows a recent tourist survey, which showed that Hong Kong is favoured as a destination to work hard and play hard.
Your single pitch segment should include a brief description of the concept, theme, location and timing of the event
The pitch should include referenced use of Event Management theory. Note: . If using your presentation topic please identify this.
Any assignment over 1500 words will attract a penalty. No appendices, or portfolio, only references.

For this essay we will be doing on Event staging itself. I will include the lecture slides on event staging at the bottom page as I have trouble uploading the powerpoint slides then maybe u can refer to it too. Below I did abit alr. So maybe u can follow that template. Just make sure don't exceed the word limit. And I need references harvard style with online webpages links.
Also other than that same thing plagirsm my school take it very seriously.

1. Brief description of the concept of this event(I have already decided on the location n timing of the event as u can see below)

Revelry is pleased to bring out our proposal by setting up and manage a music event to promote Singapore as a fun destination with a vibrant night life to international travellers. Event will be held at Meadow Garden by the Bay.

There will be non-stop music by local and international DJs. Free flow of beer. With ticket selling at only $400 for 2 days. (Inclusive of soveniers: cylum sticks....)
Foam party plus on the 31st of december, there will be count down to the new year and a spectacular display of fireworks.

The theme of this event staging revolve around these 7 important elements. They are, location, catering, lighting and sound system, AV and special effects, Artists and decorations.

2. Theme

2.1 LOCATION (VENUE)(for this part I need you to research on the place, and I have already created a map something like the one below. Just that u need to add in the place whr we will put the bar, with free flow alcohol, whr the portable toilets will be, whr the smoking corner, where the merchandise booth, where the medic station is etc.. other than that got to show the entrance and exits. Also explain the reason for choosing this place. Medic, emergency exit, registration?

The Meadow is known to be Asia's most prominent garden destination. It is located at Gardens by the Bay that gives a astounding view of the waterfront and cityscape. The Meadow is also easily accessible by public transport which make it a good spot for hosting a 2 day music festival event.

LOCATION SELECTION (logistic)For this part I need you to create something like the one below. The one below is given from the lecture slides. So we can do something more simple just show the logistic of why we choose this place n show if it falls under good or bad something like the picture below.

2.2 CATERING (ALCOHOL/ BARS)

There will be free flow of beer for the entire two days of non stop partying. The free flow of beers is organized to target tourist who loves beer and partying. Also there will be bars, however other form of liqour other than beer, the customer have to pay.
For this catering part u can see the picture below and say about the catering considerations for this event. Need u to take into those consideration when doing this catering part. U can include food at bar also for customer to buy inside the place if they are hungry. Light snacks.

Manpower is also involed here? (medic, security, Bouncer, Cleaner)

3. LIGHTING AND SOUND SYSTEM(this part got to say whr are the lightings at and sound system how it will impact on the audience.
Lighting for signage for toilets, exits,
Lighting for safety, security etc.
The sound system, allows audiences to hear the performance?
Will there be people Monitoring the sound, will there be recording or broadcasting?

4. AUDIOVISUAL AND SPECIAL EFFECTS

Rehearsal requiremnt for the djs?
Contracts and legal requirement for hiring the djs to perform
Have to invite a lot of djs since the event will be 2 days

6. DECORATION, PROPS, SCENARY
Decorations need to be inline with the event theme.
Flowers? Crew outfit? Sculptures?

PROGRAMMING

The below part in orange is from the lecture slides explaning what is programming. Just need you to use it n explain abit about the programming for this event.

Programming
o Contains the schedule of the event.
o It is a strong marketing & communications tool and designed according to the:
o expectations of the audience,
o the constraints of the venue and infrastructure,
o the culture of the client and main sponsors,
o the availability of the elements of the staging and the independencies,
o the logistics,
o the creativity of the event team,
o the marketing and the communications plan.
