“Effective Study Skills are the sole foundation of a sound education”
Wikipedia (2013) study skills or strategies are approaches applied to learning. They are generally critical to success in schools and collages considered essential for acquiring good grades, and useful for learning throughout one’s life.There are many factors that contribute to a sound and solid education. Education is too much of a complex process for anyone to simplify it and tie it to one or two causes. There are some possible influences that may play an important role here. The psychological, biological, and social-cultural elements are definitely in charge of producing a diverse range of effects. Inner motivation, amazement for the world around them and desire to learn and achieve will definitely ignite and foster a thirst for learning that could lead towards building a sound education. Having supportive and encouraging individuals to guide them through the learning process will also be of help. However, there have been cases were individuals find themselves surrounded by despair or hopelessness and this seems to have fuelled their desire to overcome the obstacles and reach higher goals.Too many people look at studying as a necessary task or achievement not an enjoyment or opportunity to learn. That’s fine, but researchers have found that how ones approach to something matters almost as much as what one would do in life as in studying.Being in the right mind-set is important in order to study smarter. “Effective study skills” when it comes to studying, managing time is of the upmost importance. Create a study plan, a study plan is an organized schedule that outlines study times and learning goals. Just like with work or school. Take effective notes, taking notes is a great way to remember important concepts in learning and will help when planning study time giving focuses. Not only does taking notes help when preparing for an essay, but it also helps to listen and read more carefully during learning. Maintaining studies; keeping up with studies will help to retain that knowledge so that it can be applied in other courses and in a career and for future learning. There are many ways of learning throughout life’s lessons and reflections. “Effective study skills are a sole foundation of a sound education”. It seems research into a bad education from a young age can have an effect on later life, but with the right guidance and tools in place such as effective study skills, it’s possible to gain a higher level of intelligence in the field of studying and education. With the right tools and planed study, Positive thinking and taking feedback and self-motivation will lead to building a sound education towards a future. Witch can lead to greater achievements, building structure and knowledge towards next steps in learning.
