This part of the course work will assess the following learning outcome.

1. Demonstrate effective personal development planning skills to support their own continual professional development

Development of a PDP drawing on a completed reflective questionnaire.

Using the case study and the summary of the activities that you will take part in during the tutorial sessions carry out the following;

On the template provided in the assessment section of the site complete the reflective questionnaire. You will work on the principals of reflection in the tutorial sessions, and you should use all the experiences and lectures to help you think about what you have learned and how it could influence the way that you work now and in the future.

In your reflective statement you should consider;

• The things that you have learned from the work that you have done on the module
• The skills that you have learned when applying the things that you have learned
• How you felt when carrying out the exercises in the tutorials and participating in the lectures- did you already know some of things, and did they seem right or wrong?

Using the above draw up a plan of action that will show what skills you will need to improve on to actually use your knowledge in the future and how you will go on to develop and use them.

This part of the course work will assess the following learning outcome

1. Critically evaluate how key elements of employee reward and development policy and practice contribute to the management of performance within organisations

2. Assess the challenges in designing effective reward and development strategies

Using the case study organisation and the work that you have carried out for part 1 of the course work as your basis you are required to produce a 2000 word report that answers the following;

1. Critically evaluate how 2 key elements of the reward and development practices used either explicitly or implicitly in the case study organisation could contribute to the overall performance of the organisation (approx. 1000 words)

2. Outline, comment on and evaluate the challenges that the case study organisation has faced or could face when formulating a reward and development strategy. (approx. 1000 words)

You should consider the following when constructing this piece of work;

What are the reward and development practices that are used or could be used?

What are the good and bad pints about these practices?

What is the impact of these practices?

What gest in the way when the organisation is trying to follow good practice?

What can they do to overcome the challenges?
