Air, assumed to behave as an ideal gas (pv=RT), undergoes adiabatic expansion in a piston cylinder from the initial condition T1=2000k, p1= 4 MPa, undergoes adiabatic expansion to a volume that is ten times as large, v2/v1=r=10. Calculate the temperature of the air after expansion. Also calculate the adiabatic work done 1W2.

(b) Calulate 1W2 when 1Q2=-40 kJ/kg.

(c) Draw both processes on a p-v diagram.
