Draw a cross-section of of a tree trunk, on it, label the xylem (tracheids), phloem, and the cambium (stem cells). For the tracheids, label which tracheids are most likely still functional (able to transport water) and which ones are most likely not functional (have air in the trachieds). Also, write two sentence about the tree rings answering why the tree rings are formed and what scientists can use this information for.
