Discussion about providing children with diverse books

Assignment task: How would I respond to these responses for discussion board? This is what I wrote.

Providing children with diverse books is an important way to help them understand the world they live in, and to feel seen and represented. Books can function as both mirrors and windows, showing children people, places, and cultures that are similar to their own, while also introducing them to the diversity of the world. By showing them that other people's experiences are valid and that they are not alone, these books can help foster empathy and understanding. Additionally, by introducing them to new ideas and perspectives, these books can help children to think critically and open-mindedly about the world. I have personal experience with this concept. Growing up, I often found myself in books, which helped me to feel seen and represented. However, I also found books that introduced me to new perspectives and cultures, which made me more understanding and open-minded. Through books, I was able to learn about the world in a safe, accessible way, and I know that providing children with diverse books can have the same impact

I feel that it is very important for kids to have more mirror books because they will be my eager to read if they are readying bout themselves, and they will feel good bout themselves. Kids should have mirror books so they will stay out of trouble and let them see that they can do way more than people say they can.
