Discuss virginia hendersons theory in a clinical setting

Problem: Imagine returning to school to become a nurse and you're task with relating thoughts to the statement of another who connects with a nursing theorist that reads as follows: Virginia Henderson is a theorist who discovered fourteen fundamental needs that determine patient progression of healing and recovery. Her theory encompasses the patient holistically in all aspects, including physical, social, and spiritual well-being. Henderson's theory also states that it is the responsibility of the nurse to help patients restore health by aiding in the fourteen fundamental needs. Through assistance in these areas, the patient gains independence of self and care. I align with this theorist because she looks at the patient holistically and assesses more than just physical ailments that could impact the patient's outcome. Through life and patient experience, I have learned that more aspects go into health than what can be seen with the eye or felt by touch. Illness is not perceived as something that a person is diagnosed with as a patient, but instead, illness is perceived as how it makes a person feel. Social, spiritual, and mental health are also key contributors to well-being and longevity. I look forward to using Virginia Henderson's theory in a clinical setting and integrating her fundamental needs model into patient care.

What could be shared to show alignment with the statement above? Need Assignment Help?
