Problem: What is your feedback about this post? One area of my teaching plan that I believe worked well is the integration of visual aids and the use of video prompting as teaching strategies. I made sure to include laminated task analyses, recipe cards, and video modeling, all of which are supported in the literature as effective in teaching complex daily living skills to individuals with autism. I am confident that these strategies will provide Lucas with both structure and flexibility as he learns to prepare healthy meals. An area that required more work was the design of the data collection and assessment system. Although I incorporated step-by-step task analyses and planned for interobserver agreement checks, I found it challenging to balance simplicity for staff with the level of detail needed to obtain reliable data. I would appreciate feedback on the practicality of my proposed data collection method (using Rethink BH and a step-by-step log) for daily use and whether my colleagues believe it will facilitate seamless progress monitoring without overwhelming the team.
