Effective performance management ensures employees' activities and results are aligned with the organizational goals, and includes goals and/or standard setting, feedback and coaching, and documented appraisals.
1) Compare and contrast performance management within a specific organization to your text's description of an ideal process.
2) Identify two ways that Human Resources can ensure effective performance management occurs.
3) Discuss two tactics managers can use to make performance appraisals relevant, valuable and accepted by employees illustrating your response with an example.
