B. Smoking causes more deaths than HIV, Illegal Drug Use, Alcohol use, Motor vehicle injuries and firearm incidences combined. Statistics also show that 9 out of 10 lung cancer deaths are attributed to smoking.

C. Tobacco products are among the main causes of premature deaths and preventable deceases. While those against banning tobacco products claim that they generate a lot of revenue in taxes, it is important to consider how much the government spends annually on diseases attributed to tobacco products. Below are the main reason's Tobacco should be banned.

1. Health Risk to both active and passive smokers.

2. Pollution.

II. Health Risk to both Active and Passive Smokers

A. Known Carcinogen

1. 7333 Passive smokers die of Lung Cancer Annually.

2. Tobacco products cause 127700 lung cancer deaths, and 36000 deaths for other types of cancer.

B. Heart Disease

1. 46,000 Deaths Annually Attributed to Environmental Tobacco Smoke

2. 160,000 deaths caused by cardio vascular and metabolic diseases.

3. 113,100 Respiratory diseases.

III. Pollution

A. Air Pollution

1. Causing air pollution 10 times greater than diesel car exhaust.

B. Environment Pollution from Littering.

1. Cigarette butts accumulate and leach toxic and carcinogen chemicals into the environment. 176,000,000 pounds of discarded cigarette butts in the United State annually

2. Poison or kill wildlife mistaking Cigarette filters for food.

IV. Addiction among Teens and Kids

A. Prohibiting sales has not stopped Teens or Kids

B. Addiction trap teens and kids under peer pressure.

C. There are more disadvantages caused by cigarettes than advantages. The only way to stop the deaths, pollution and addiction is to bring down tobacco industry by illegalizing tobacco products.
