Discussion: Civil Liberties
The Struggle for Democracy, the purpose of civil liberties (derived from the Bill of Rights) is to protect citizens from undue government interference--NOT to protect citizens from each other. Explain why this is a key distinction, and apply it to at least one issue or scenario to demonstrate its importance.
