Being a Good Role Model
Come up with the 5 most important ways (in your opinion) to be a good role model for your child, as well as all the changes required by a parent to be one. This would include what sort of personality differences one might need to undertake in order for a parent to become the ideal role model, because odds are, most of us aren't the perfect one quite yet. You will also need to be exploring the 'why' behind your top 5 role models decisions, in which why are these the most important aspects and what are the consequences for the child (and yourself) if you choose not to model them. Feel free to provide links to YouTube videos about being a good role model for your child.
Checklist:
- Choose 5 of the most important aspects you believe should be role models for children.
For each aspect a few paragraphs for the following:
- For each of the 5 discuss how a parent can consistently demonstrate this trait to their children.
- Discuss what a parent might need to change about themselves to embody this personality trait.
- Discuss the importance of this trait on the child, and how it is important for their success.
- Discuss the issues associated with not acquiring this trait, and what problems could arise for both the child and parent because of it.
